Oak Knoll Vincent Gypsy Gelding Award

Oak Knoll Vincent Gelding Spotlight

Vincent’s Gypsy Gelding Spotlight Award.
A Living Legacy incentive fund intended to award the promotion and participation of full bred, registered Gypsy Geldings in showing, events and various other activities. Vincent, our wonderful Gypsy gelding, is our inspiration for starting this award program. Since coming to live with us in Minnesota, beginning with our first parade with him a month after arriving, we realized what a great horse he is to be involved in not only showing, but community events, saddle club, therapeutic riding, and parades. He wins hearts wherever he goes and sparks interest in the breed with people who have never seen a Gypsy in person. Some folks we meet have never heard of a Gypsy, and they are enamored after meeting our Vincent. We want to encourage other families to get involved and engaged in their own communities’ by offering a program for awarding this type of participation. Therefore, as a family, we, Phillip and Kay Peterson will be fully funding for the year, starting January 1st 2014 ending December 31st, 2014, an incentive fund with points awarded for every verifiable event you do with your Gypsy Geldings! Fund will be a minimum of $500.00 (American) awarded plus a specially designed trophy for you efforts. This will be open to North American Gypsy Geldings, registered in the Gypsy Horse Registry of America. All ages of Gypsy Geldings are welcome! We are calling this a Living Legacy to Vincent, as we want to enjoy your activities while we are able to, with Vincent being our inspiration, however, we are hoping to have this award as a legacy perpetuate decades into the future by our family and have it become a sought after trophy and award to strive for each year with your Gypsy geldings. As the award program grows, we may be seeking sponsorship in the future, as we feel this will create an incentive for more geldings in the breed, that will make geldings sought after and hold their worth.
